Our Inaugural Annual Retreat
We planned and launched our inaugural annual retreat aboard a private boat on Lake Michigan, establishing a foundational tradition for planning and team development. As founders, we chose this lakefront setting to provide exposure to unique experiences for all while symbolizing the elevated impact we're working to achieve. This experience deepened our connection to our Chicago roots and reinforced our vision as young leaders.
Planning for 2025/2026
We organized planning breakouts, mapping out specific goals including expanding membership, increasing local volunteerism participation, establishing an annual global service trip, and the kickoff of our tailored mentorship program. We refined our organizational structure and established clear accountability frameworks to support our growth.
Leadership Development Workshop
Our Advisory Board facilitated an intensive leadership workshop where we actively participated and shared insights. The curriculum focused on executive communication skills, including crafting compelling elevator pitches, analyzing our leadership motivations, and exploring our identities as emerging healthcare innovators. These competencies are essential as we develop our professional presence and prepare to lead with both authority and authenticity.
